Our Jesus Friends was created to bring women into real, consistent connection where they can grow in their relationship with Jesus and with one another.

We are not a church.
We are not a replacement for church.
We are a space where faith is lived out in relationship.

A Note From Chynna

Hello, Friend.

I know what it feels like to need your people and not know where to find them. I know what it feels like to love Jesus and still feel alone in your faith. And I know what it feels like when God places the right women in your life and everything begins to shift.

That's why I built this.

Our Jesus Friends is not just a community — it's a place where women can go deeper in the Word, find their people, and grow together in faith. We were not made to do this alone. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. We need each other.

Whether you've walked with Jesus your whole life or you're just beginning to find your way back — you belong here. I am so glad you're here.

Genesis of a Movement

How We Got Started

Our Jesus Friends was born out of Chynna’s own personal journey of faith, where she deeply felt the hunger for connection and community. She then began her first group of women who gather weekly online to support one another in their Jesus Journey. This group is appropriately named “Genesis.” Our Jesus Friends continues to grow, with more groups forming presently.

As Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them,” we believe in the power of community and connection in the name of Jesus.

Our Mission

To build a biblically based, Jesus-centered community where women can grow spiritually through encouragement, prayer, authentic relationships, healthy conversation, and biblical truth.

What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible word of God

As written in 2 Timothy 3:16, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness," we look to the Bible as the foundation of truth and guidance in our lives.

We believe Jesus is the only Son of the one and true and living God

who was born of a virgin through immaculate conception and lived a perfect, sinless life, fulfilling all the requirements of God’s holy laws. He went willingly to the cross, suffered, died, and rose again for the forgiveness of sins for all of humanity and the gift of eternal life. We believe the free gifts of forgiveness and eternal life are received by faith in Jesus Christ alone, as affirmed in Ephesians 2:8, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."

We believe that God exist in three persons...

The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. The gift of the Holy Spirit is received at the time of salvation as a Helper who guides and leads us to live the Christian life, just as Jesus promised in John 14:26, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

The role of Our Jesus Friends is to support one another on our Jesus Journey

We are not a church, but we support the search for deeper faith and connection with Jesus.

About Chynna

Chynna Phillips Baldwin is a wife, mom, and follower of Jesus who has spent the last several years building online community for women around faith, friendship, and the Word of God.

She is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of the iconic 1960s group The Mamas and the Papas, and one third of the acclaimed pop trio Wilson Phillips — known for number-one hits including "Hold On" and "Release Me." She has been married to actor Billy Baldwin for over 30 years and together they have three children.

But more than her career, what defines Chynna today is her radical love for Jesus Christ and her calling to help women find connection, community, and courage in their faith.

What began as a simple desire to share her faith online grew into a community of hundreds of women gathering weekly around Scripture, prayer, and real conversation. Chynna has seen firsthand what happens when women stop walking alone — and Our Jesus Friends was built to make that possible for every woman who finds her way here.

It is her dream that any woman who desires to feel more connected to God and to others will have a place to belong — any time of day, from anywhere in the world.
